Lab Tools Division

D.F. Srl’s portfolio includes pharmaceutical technology machinery, designed for batches with manual preparation, for small production runs and accessories for furnishing production areas.

The line of pharmaceutical fittings is made entirely of stainless steel, with particular attention to finishes and surface roughness.

Design solutions, with lines designed for easy cleaning and absolute operator safety.

Laboratory Glasswashers

The DLV series of glass washing machines are suitable for washing containers of varying shapes and capacities, depending on the customisation of the loading racks used. In the double door version, they allow complete separation of the loading and unloading areas.

Design and manufacturing according to current G.M.P and pharmaceutical standards. CFR21 compliant PLC/HMI control and cycle report available.

MODELS
The model range varies according to the washing chamber length, from 500 to 1500 mm.
Baskets are interchangeable and are specifically made according to the type of containers to be processed, so that load is optimized for every washing cycle.
The machines work both in recirculation, with sanitary centrifugal pump connected to the bath on the bottom of the washing chamber and with direct (possibly pressurized) water.
Blowing and drying phases can be added to the cycle; duration, temperature and functional check limits can be set according to specific needs.

Semi-automatic washing machines

The LFS semi-automatic washing machine is suitable for small productions and performs programmed washing cycles with manual loading/unloading of bottle racks.

The loading baskets in which the ampoules or bottles to be washed are manually arranged are closed with the upper centering grid and inserted upside down on the needles of the distributor disc.
Various combinations of needles are available (7 × 7, 8 × 8, 10 × 10, depending on the diameter of the bottles to be treated.
The work cycle is carried out by alternating washing and blowing with filtered water and compressed air.
The duration of each phase is programmable. It is also possible to install a shower for external washing and a vacuum cleaner for better drying of the objects and the tank.

Depyrogenation ovens

The depyrogenating stoves sterilise products, loaded through trays in standard racks, with a flow of recirculated and filtered hot air.
Air, heated by a 13 kW heating unit to make glass reach a temperature higher than 250°C, is filtered with a HEPA 0,2 μ absolute filter suitable for temperatures up to 300°C. The process parameters can be adjusted and stored. The standard cycle takes 150-180 minutes approximately with pre-heating to avoid thermal shock on glass and the ejection of wet containers.

A quick heating occurs up to the set point with recirculating air, temperature is kept steady during a programmable time by the thermostation, then a cooling phase starts: hot air is sucked and cold air is delivered. It is possible to keep low temperature at the end of cycle until the opening of the door with controlled lock.

The machines can be equipped with a double door for separation between different classified environments.

THE MACHINE IS MADE UP OF THE FOLLOWING UNITS:
• Frame: fully made up of AISI 304 stainless steel with seam welding
• Sterilizing chamber: made up of AISI 316 L stainless steel with mirror finishes and rounded corners. A perforated plate after the filter makes a perfect plenum for a homogeneous distribution of the air speed
• Centrifugal fan: made up of stainless steel and equipped with an inverter to allow speed adjustment
• Butterfly valves with motorized input and analogue control of outputs through a PLC
• Filters: HEPA (H14 on the inlet, H13 for high recirculation temperature and H13 on the outlet) with automatic initialization procedure for H13 filters and automatic check of clogging and leaks
• Siemens PLC
• Heating: high efficiency, stainless steel, controlled by 3 Pt 100 feelers
• Tray rack: according to the customer’s needs

Ampoule filling machines

• Ampoule filler for small productions (up to 3.000 ampoules per hour)
• Containers contact parts made of AISI 316L stainless steel or approved plastic materials and strong AISI 304 frame
• Double indexing machine with adjustable speed
• Loading from conveyor belt and synchronization with starwheel through scroll
• Plunging nozzles with “no ampoule/no filling” system
• High precision filling with double peristaltic heads with phase shifting for better filling and fine adjustment
• Preheating and sealing station with ampoule rotation
• Unloading on tray with full load check
• PLC + HMI control
• Compliant with current safety regulations and GMP standards

Peristaltic Pumps

According to the customer’s needs, filling and capping systems with controlled axes for laboratory use are manufactured.
The peristaltic filling system incorporates heads with different degrees of precision and filling programmes based on the use of stepping motors with settable working parameters.
Stand-alone filling consoles equipped with multiple heads are available too and they can be even controlled remotely by filling machines.
Peristaltic pumps are also manufactured for transferring liquids without contamination; there is even the possibility of sterilizing only pipes and connections with adjustable delivery.

Hermetically Sealed Doors

Doors have been conceived to separate contiguous areas with different pressure to ensure perfect tightness during the environmental sanitizing processes: as a matter of fact, they have been provided with special frames which can adapt to existing structures and with a pneumatic control and locking system.
Doors are made up of AISI 316L stainless steel and have been installed flush to the floor (no ledge on the bottom) allowing the normal passage of trolleys.
Customized doors can be manufactured.
Doors are provided with 3 sturdy adjustable hinges ensuring long durability.
The inflatable gasket on the door side allows a perfect tightness on the frame.
The gasket has been placed in its seat with great care.
Corners are rounded, with a radius not lower than 40 mm to allow a perfect and smooth expansion of the gasket allowing better cleaning.
Doors have one or two glass windows sealed with silicone.
Opening and closing are manual; controls and pneumatic and electric connections are located in the frame, with inspection access points.
Doors are interlocked to prevent their simultaneous opening.

The necessary utilities are:

  • Dry compressed air (4 bar)
  • Electric power supply 24 Vdc

Storage Vessels

The vessels are st.st. AISI 316L made, with volume from 50 to 200 lt., suitable for liquid preparation or mixing.
Internally mirror polished with finishing ≤ 0,3 μm, standard provided of an upper cover 8” to couple the external, removable stirrer with the internal shaft and wings.

FEATURES

  • Working Pressure 4 bar
  • Sight Glass
  • Hand hole
  • Sterile Sampling Port

The cover is provided of 1 ½” clamp connections for product inlet and optional vent provision.
The product outlet is in the bottom side, with sanitary valve and zero dead leg connection.
The vessels are placed on a trolley made of AISI 304 st.st. carrying the electric board IP 65: the vessel is fixed with a lever system easy to disconnect for autoclave cleaning.

Furniture

The pharmaceutical furniture line is entirely made of stainless steel, with particular attention to the finishes and surface roughness.
The line consists of designer furnishings, but above all it is designed to facilitate cleaning, with the absence of screws and non-cleanable threads.
The total absence of sharp edges guarantees absolute safety for operators as required by current regulations on accident prevention.

THE LINE INCLUDES

  • Tables
  • Trolleys
  • Tables with wheels
  • Seating (chairs and stools)
  • Benches
  • Cabinets
