Laminar Flow products

The Pass-Box modules are manufactured according to the customer’s size specifications and they create an intermediate environment between two different processing Classes in which it is possible to decontaminate or sterilize the materials to be transferred towards the higher class. We manufacture both small cabinets for material passage and flush-to-floor cabinets where trolleys with the load to be sterilized can be inserted. Inside the Pass-Box, a continuous air flow is kept with a pressure differential towards the adjacent areas. Delivery and outlet fans are properly adjusted in order to ensure the required ventilation and to prevent any contamination of the destination class during material passage, waiting and sterilization. The internal air flow is in laminar motion. Recirculating air is filtered by an absolute HEPA H14 filter provided with efficiency check and proper partialization. Air can be conditioned in the working area through a HVAC connection. Doors are provided with scratch-resistant polycarbonate windows and are pneumatically interlocked. They are also equipped with inflatable gaskets made up of close cell rubber, with control pressure switches. Disinfection is usually obtained through the extremely fine atomization of biocidal products like oxygen peroxide and peracetic acid, named Dry-Fog. All the materials and the installed components are compatible with the substances that are used.

LAF TROLLEYS

LAF trolleys allow the continuous washing of their internal volume with filtered air flow in horizontal or vertical laminar motion depending on specific needs while load is moved through lower class areas.
After being sucked from the environment, air is prefiltered with high arrestance prefilters, then it is filtered again by absolute HEPA H14 filters and sent to the plenum for a homogeneous distribution of the flow.
Trolleys are customized according to the specific needs and they are equipped with one or two filters, depending on their size.
For each filter, an electronically controlled centrifugal fan keeps air flow rate steady until reaching the maximum filter clogging which is shown by a visual signal.
The battery unit allows continuous operation for more than one hour before needing to be recharged (about 2-3 hours) with the proper on-board charger. Models with wire guidance and drive wheel are available, too.

LAF and cabinets for preparations

Laminar flow hoods are available for the static protection of a specific working area. They use the same technology as LAF trolleys and they are made by combining standard HEPA H14 filters in a modular way, according to the specific needs.
Each filter is equipped with a fan whose speed can be adjusted automatically according to the pressure drop detected before and after the filter.
The diffusion grille has been made to ensure a homogeneous flow over the entire filtering surface.
Hoods can be fixed to the ceiling or they can be equipped with an upper frame and side supports (even on wheels).
